What may be keeping you from a 6-figure business
In this episode, I discuss what may be keeping you from a 6-figure business.
By listening to this episode you will learn how to scale your business.
Alright, we’re gonna talk about the number one most underrated thing that is stopping you from growth in your business. And. The one thing that if you can decide to do this, you’re going to have a sustainable business and sustainable success. So. For those of you who don’t know me, I work with coaches on growing their business, doubling their sales, booking discovery calls, things like that.
If you’re curious about the equation to double your business, go ahead and COMMENT curious below. And we’ll send you a podcast episode about that. But. Anyways. What I want to talk about today is this thing you have to be willing to do in your business to be able to grow. So. So often, we hear people saying, you have to feel on fire and passionate and inspired every day in your business. And. Everything should feel, you know, authentic and in alignment and all this stuff. And I agree that you should probably choose a business of something you like, and something that fuels you. Something that is a part of your mission and purpose in life.
How your success depends on your willingness to succeed
But. The day to day, things that enable it to be able to grow in anything. You pick a sport. Your business. A good habit you’re trying to form etc. You have to be willing not to feel motivated, excited, inspired, etc, all the time as your fuel to decide to do things. Instead, you have to be willing to feel willing, meaning I just had a client send me a message saying I put out a video and it was scary. And I don’t even want to watch it. And. She was willing to put herself out there and know that there might be one person who sees that and is inspired and is, you know, resonates with with that. She was willing to put her purpose over the feeling of, I’m embarrassed to be on video today.
Or another client told me I feel like what I’m asking you might be like elementary school level, and I feel almost embarrassed to even be asking these questions. But. The truth is, this person was willing to feel embarrassed and you know, judged, which I didn’t judge, obviously, I’m like, no, these, this is the point of coaching, I asked me everything. But that person would be willing to feel that to get the support that you know, was wanted.
So. Same thing in my business, I have to be willing, for the first time, I’m willing to slow down like this past year to speed up and set up things, you know, with systems and all that stuff, you have to be willing to reinvent things along the way, you have to be willing to put out a sales page that maybe doesn’t convert the first time. And you have to edit the things. And it’s really annoying, and it’s really tedious. But you see how all this ties back to your ultimate mission, which is to grow a sustainable business.
How to recognize your triggers
And. I want to point out that the way you can trigger yourself to want to feel willing is not by wanting to end result in thinking your life’s going to be so much better when you achieve the end result. So. What I mean by that is, if you are saying to yourself, I really want to have an XYZ dollar business. So. I can feel better about my life about myself, prove myself feel, feel, you know, like, I’m awesome, and I’m safe, and I’m financially secure, and all the things. That’s not the point, actually, of having a business is part of the point. But if it’s your main driver, it’s not, you’re going to always be on a roller coaster.
But. If you the point is so that you grow in the process on the way, and you develop skills that even if your business was taken away from you tomorrow, you could create it again. To me, that’s the point that is part of the biggest reason. And. That’s part of the reason why we play this game as entrepreneurs is because we want to grow, we want to learn things, we’re willing to take risks in in a way that will teach us something so that we become better. And when we have more skill sets and things like that.
We can help more people, we can do more things. We can create a gun tomorrow if the world changes and our businesses go away or whatever, right. So. I want to next time you feel like in the moment, you’re not inspired. You don’t want to do that posts. You don’t want to edit those tedious technology, things you have to edit, you’re afraid to ask for help. And, you are not willing to put money in your business at first with the patience and knowing that you can get a return on that investment, things like that.
Ask yourself why am I not willing? And. Chances are it’s probably because you want the end result without the discomfort and you don’t get to do that. Most of the time. If you stay comfortable and you stay stagnant and you’re unwilling to you know, rework things just because things are comfortable right now.
It will never grow the way that you the bigger you’ll stay very stagnant. Right so next time you have a moment, catch yourself and say I’m willing to feel annoyed while I’m doing this task, I’m willing to acknowledge that I don’t need to feel inspired before I at least start and help yourself out, don’t judge yourself, you know, help yourself out by breaking down the task or giving yourself some kind of reward for doing something or, you know, whatever all the little gamification habit stacking tips are.
But. At the same time, sometimes you have to be very willing for it to get uncomfortable or willing to even like, for example, this is a big one, look at your numbers, look at your insights, look at what worked and what didn’t, most people are just on to the next thing and hustling, and never willing to look at what might be uncomfortable, they have to change or they have to tweak.
But that’s one of the best things you can do as a business owner. So. If you’re curious about how in the new year you can grow your business, you can develop the skill set to feel those feelings and feel work through the mindset parts. Because if you’re feeling like an imposter or you’re feeling like you’re not willing to be embarrassed or you feeling like you can’t deal with rejection or feeling like your full time job takes over your life, and it’s the only you know, you’re never gonna have that time that you should have to grow your business.
