From Feeling Defeated to Being Successful
In this episode, I discuss a client story about how to go from feeling defeated to being successful.
By listening to this episode you will learn an effective model to develop to scale your business even further.
Getting Ahead of the Curve
So today we’re going to talk about a client success story. And I think the reason why I wanted to share this with you guys today is because it’s very relatable. I hear a lot of you guys coming from the same place in your businesses when I’m on Discovery calls, or my team is on Discovery calls. It’s something where I want to advise you if you are a coach, or a consultant to not wait until things get so bad in your business that you’re like I need a magic bullet.
Because I think so often I have people who come to me and say I’ve tried everything, I’m almost on the verge of giving up. And you know, you don’t want to get to that place, you don’t have to get to that place. So today we’re going to talk about her story and how she turned things around in her business.
Also what you can do to not get to a place where it’s so bad that you are, you know really feeling like you need support pronto. And instead get ahead of the curve, and get your business on track be booking clients and things like that. So before we get started, my name is Hayley Rowe, I am a business strategist and coach for online coaches and consultants. And I also have a marketing services company where we help you book clients and amplify our influence authority and reach online to convert more sales. And typically those are high ticket sales.
The Principles of Marketing
We work with a lot of people who do high ticket private coaching group programs, courses, things like that. And one of the major things that is important to know is that marketing and the principles of marketing apply to everyone with your online business. I’ve worked with people who are just starting from scratch. And I’ve worked with PGA mental performance coaches who’ve been doing this for 20 years, and I worked with celebrity trainers. And you’d be surprised to know that a lot of them need marketing help, too, even though they have a massive following.
They’re not leveraging it properly. And I’ve worked with people who have no followers to begin with, and want to grow their audience and book clients online. So the truth is, if you’re here, you’re probably here for a reason. And that’s probably because you’ve been trying to grow your coaching business, but it’s not working, or you’re not getting the right people, or you’re having struggles. So go ahead and comment your struggles below if you want me to address those. And I’ll get started with the storytime.
From Feeling Stuck to Feeling Successful
So I had a client who came to me for a call and said, You know, I found you online, I have tried everything. When it comes to my coaching business, I just finished a program, of course, that was a group program hybrid. And I really haven’t gotten anywhere. I realized, I don’t know what I’m doing my husband’s upset with me because I spent a lot of money on this program. And I nearly I’m just kind of like, is this it right? And her goal was to be home with her daughter to be able to make more than her corporate job and be able to help women become more confident. She had to have that confidence within herself to turn things around. So one of the things that we talked about was, well, what what would it be worth to you to solve this problem?
Do you believe in yourself enough to get the support and to have a blueprint and to, you know, go through with this one more time because you’ve had some bumps in the road, which is very normal, but she had to really conjure up the courage to try again. And it was something where, you know, we had a group call with her and her husband we went over what they could expect and the risks involved but also the benefits involved.
The Power of a Program
Their questions, things like that. She did end up deciding to go through with my private coaching Zero to Hero program. And through the four months that we work together, she was able to hit her first five k a month. But then here’s what happened as well. She hit her first nine k month and 11 k A month after she graduated. And I think the point and the reason why I’m saying this is because what a lot of times people are short term oriented.
And they think, well, if I do a program, I expect that I’m going to, you know, she and she did in this case, she made back more than her investment during the time we work together. Which is really great and not uncommon for the clients that I work with. But at the same time, here’s what you have to remember, compound interest people, because when she graduated, she had her first nine K and 11 K, and she kept growing.
And this was all during a global pandemic. So if in your business, you are thinking about, Oh, no, it’s too risky. And I can’t do this, you also need to think about what’s the long term cons of not doing, when I what I know, I need help with what I know I need to do. That costs you too, because she could have said, no, nevermind, I’m just gonna keep trying to figure this out. And continuing to miss out on five k months, nine k months, 11k months, right.
But instead, she had to conjure up the courage to believe in herself. To know that there that we were going to have a whatever it takes approach together. And she went through with it. And so the thing that I want to share with you is you by you delaying right in your business. You are not just cutting yourself off from what you deserve, and the growth that you want to have. But you’re also cutting off who it is you want to serve, and the promise that you want to make to people and problems you want to help them solve. And it’s not helpful for anybody, right?
So taking responsibility in your business, whether you’re winning or losing is really important. And that is the first step to turning things around. And you have to take responsibility for getting support. You have to take responsibility for looking at rather than saying, you know, there’s two camps. There’s two types of people and one of the camps is
Consider the What If’s and the What Works
I would what? They say, Oh, well, like they try something. They say, Oh, well, and they think it doesn’t work for me, versus looking at what if it does work? Right. So are you committed to making something work and figuring it out? Or are you committed to kind of saying, Oh, well, I don’t know, it’s not really working. I give up, right? So here’s the thing as well, that she knew was that starting a business is hard enough, right?
Without a blueprint without support and without somebody who’s proven to have success, right, guiding you, mentoring you, etc. And so she didn’t want to go that path again. She knew she had spent a lot of time doing that. And, you know, it didn’t work out for her. So the other things I want to talk about.
From Quitting to Being Successful in Your Coaching Business
When it comes to going from almost quitting to being successful in your coaching business is you have to a couple things.
Number one, be able to understand the basic need of your niche.
Okay, number two, you have to understand what would allow that niche to be satisfied with the solution that you want to provide them with.
And then the number three. If you really want to stand out and be awesome and sustainable in your coaching business. How can you delight them? How can you go above and beyond right? So when I was creating the Zero to Hero coach program I talked to in my time of doing all this I’ve probably talked to over hundreds. Like a life coaches, health coaches, people like that. And the common themes are they struggle with things like imposter syndrome to struggle with? Oops, video paused.
Struggles with Sales
Okay. They struggle with things like sales and feeling salesy. They struggle with getting enough traffic of new potential clients. And so the program the Zero to Hero coach program was developed based on those kinds of struggles and helping you grow your business. What I call the fast way with followers action, sales, time and transformation. And the reason I bring that up is because I think a lot of people just kind of understand that they need to learn marketing. They understand that they need to learn sales, but they don’t have a structure and they don’t have a clear bite sized steps to help them do those things in their business.
So part of the reason why I created the Zero to Hero coach program and We do have the waitlist open right now for the January program is because I wanted to help with those things. I wanted to help coaches in particular who feel like they’re not good enough who feel like everybody they attract can’t pay for their services, who feel like they’re spinning their wheels with all an overwhelmed with all the different marketing tactics, I wanted to help them go from that feeling to feeling in progress in momentum, selling something they truly believe in.
And having sales and marketing skills for life that they can use for years to come with different products. They in the future develop in addition to what they create in our program. So I just kind of wanted to summarize. If you are feeling like you’ve been spinning your wheels. You don’t know what to do to make yourself stand out. You are not attracting any people or you’re attracting the wrong people.
Let’s talk go ahead and send me a message with whatever you’re struggling with in your business. And I will send you some resources to help with that. And I also want to while I’m here, before I forget. I’ve been getting the question a lot about what’s the difference between or how does somebody know if they’re more right for accelerating their business through the Zero to Hero coach program and coaching strategy with me? Or if they’re more right for marketing services? And the answer I would say to that is, with marketing services. I’m expecting that you already kind of know, your ideal client avatar, you feel confident in what you offer, you have a high ticket offer and maybe a down sell.
You just want to amplify your message. Start getting people in the door. Start booking discovery calls regularly. And, maybe you’re strapped for time. So the investment you want to make is to get your time back. To be able to do your sales conversions part of the the process, right. And you want somebody to kind of do it for you, right. So that’s marketing services. Zero to Hero coach program is if you’re not very confident in that stuff, if you haven’t tried organic marketing yourself yet, if you haven’t had a successful track record of even making one sale, and you want to learn these things. So that when you do hire somebody to do marketing services, you know how to access, assess if it’s going well, that kind of thing.
Benefits of a Program
And at the same time, a lot of times. What’s beneficial about my clients is when we do go on that journey together. And, do the coaching together, and then they transition they grow, they make some sales, etc. They transition to the marketing services, that’s really valuable. Because I already know their story, I already have helped them create their brand story. And you know, can write their copy and do things for them that I wouldn’t normally have that previous knowledge on if they hadn’t gone through the Zero to Hero coach program first. That’s one of the benefits of working with a coach who also you know, does the services side of things. So anyways, Hey there, Robin, hope you’re doing well. And feel free to comment.
Any questions, if you’d like. I’m very excited for the next Zero to Hero Coach group in January. And yeah, all right, anything before we hop off? No. Okay, it’s very bright. I’m using my ring light tonight. And it set it up properly, I’m sure which is why it looks so pale. But I will talk to you guys later. And thanks so much for watching. Adios.
