Coaching Principles
In this episode, I discuss three timeless principles to live by for your coaching business. They are not only really important, but they are also quick and easy for you to utilize and put into practice!
You will love how easy these coaching principles are and how easy they are to grasp. By being able to grasp these practices so easily, they also will be easy for you to hang on to as well.
Let’s Start at the Beginning.
I have several clients who are doing really well, but are all at different stages of their business. The thing that is different for them is the method they use for each of their businesses.
Each of my clients markets themselves but the each use different methods for getting their message out to others. My clients communicate differently. The one thing that is the same though is the principles. Therefore, you don’t just need to consider what you are selling, but how you approach potential clients with what you have to offer them.
Let’s Talk Coaching Principles!
This includes the way you are delivering your programs and marketing your business. While you may use different methods, the foundation of how you market and communicate should be by these principles. For instance, no matter what marketing streamlines you use, whether it’s social media, local advertising, or whatever you use, there needs to be foundation.
You need a unique system, but not just make something up just because you think it sounds cool. Here are some principles that you need to keep in mind:
- Test your marketing system.
- Provide certainty with your program.
- Whoever provides the most intentional value in the shortest amount of time wins.
Testing Your System
Testing your marketing system and streamline is crucial. If the test fails, then look at why it’s failing. For instance, if you are marketing your service and nobody is purchasing the service, consider why that is.
Some reasons it may fail are:
- You don’t have a system.
- The program, product, or service does not have a guarantee of some kind.
- Your product, program, or service is too complex.
- What you are offering may have too much “fluff” in the program.
How Certain is Your Program?
You also need to provide certainty with your program. As a result, people will be more confident in purchasing your services and products. Ways you can provide certainty are:
- You have a guarantee of some kind.
- There is a clear goal or transformation in mind.
Are You Winning?
Keep in mind whoever provides the best service in the shortest amount of time wins. People’s time is precious. Value and time are key!
Let’s Review the Coaching Principles
Don’t make someone feel like you are selling them something. Make them feel like your product or service is something that is adequately good for them. As a result, potential clients will not see this as just some sales pitch.
Remember the previously mentioned three key principles to go along with that: test your marketing system, provide certainty with your program, and be mindful of your service and the time it takes to provide that service. In other words, build true rapport and don’t just have a sales call.
