Confidence & Imposter Syndrome Hacks: Intro
Let me guess… One of the reasons you are undercharging for your services & avoiding putting yourself out there is because you have a bad case of “Imposter Syndrome.”
Imposter Syndrome can look like…
- Being afraid to go LIVE because you don’t know if you’re giving enough VALUE, especially compared to other coaches…
- Delaying your launch because you don’t feel like your coaching offer is “good enough”
- Feeling unequipped to coach others because YOU aren’t “perfect” yet (as if that exists), so you’re thinking, “Who am I to give advice on this topic when I’m still working through some things myself?!”
You are not alone & confidence comes from action over time.
There’s nothing wrong with you.
The struggle is real and we all share it.
We all have areas in our lives where we don’t feel “good enough.”
But “Imposter Syndrome” is just a “feeling.” It doesn’t have to stop us from taking positive action in our business & helping others.
No matter how amazing and successful you become, Imposter Syndrome will present itself because there will always be new parts of you that you don’t feel are “good enough.”
Even Oprah has moments of Imposter Syndrome. I guarantee it…
But we CAN learn how to manage our Imposter Syndrome & build our confidence…
Here’s some quick tips to stop letting Imposter Syndrome run the show.
3 Hacks to Be More Confident
- Practice separating your personal worth from your business.
Your business is a SEPARATE entity from you. You’ve created a framework, system, or coaching opportunity that creates transformation and THAT is what you’re promoting.
You are NOT promoting yourself. So, don’t take it personally if your program is NOT a fit for everyone. It doesn’t reflect your worthiness.
- When self-doubt thoughts arise, welcome it, question it, and decide solutions or a reframe you can implement.
Don’t beat yourself up for having self-doubt thoughts. We all have them!
Instead, be interested and curious about why you have these thoughts, if they are your own or internalized from society, and what you’d like to believe instead.
Then, determine if there is something you can do or a mindset reframe you can start to adopt that addresses the limiting belief. Don’t jump from “I am not worthy” to “I am AMAZING & 100% worthy” if you don’t believe that yet.
Instead, think about something you CAN believe & keep improving from there. For example, you might decide your first thought reframe to be: “I am in the process of seeing the ways that I am worthy.”
Then, look for the ways you ARE worthy and great at what you do & keep leveling up from there. - Start WITH fear and self-doubt to build CONFIDENCE.
Fear & self-doubt are harmless emotions. In other words, you do NOT need to let them get in the way of taking action.
You just have to get good at allowing those emotions to be present WHILE you take action.
And when you start taking “scary” action & realize it wasn’t as bad as you anticipated, you build CONFIDENCE!!
Confidence is the cure for Imposter Syndrome, so dare yourself to do something each day just a little outside your comfort zone!
