Podcast Growth Tips from Biohacking Brittany…
Today’s podcast guest is Biohacking Brittany (AKA Brittany Ford) – Podcaster & Holistic Nutritionist in training. Her show “Biohacking With Brittany” was honored as one of the top 15 bioahcking podcasts of 2019. In our interview, she shares her best tips for growing a podcast, biohacking your work day, and leveraging the different phases of our female cycle to kick butt at work! (You kinda have to listen to the episode to get what I mean…)
Podcast Growth Musts
When starting a podcast, keep these tips in mind.
#1) Batch your interviews.
Brittany is a big fan of batching interviews as a way to save time. Pick a day of the week where you’ll focus mainly on your podcast.
#2) Don’t be afraid of thinking BIG.
When it comes to growing your podcast, think about who you DREAM of interviewing. Don’t be afriad to reach out to them! The worst case scenario is no response, or getting rejected (part of business you have to get comfortable with if you want to succeed).
You might have to follow up more than once, but don’t give up. Get creative and think, “What’s in it for the guest?” if they come on your podcast… Share with them that you’ll be promoting the podcast to your audience, they can share one of their products or services, etc.
I HIGHLY recommend using my Podcast Pitch Email Template that I share with my private clients & in the Zero to Hero Coach Program. If you’d like to see if the program is a fit for your goals, click here to apply for a strategy call.
One more pro tip: Choose guests that complement what you do (not someone who does the exact same thing as you). Think about what your audience wants to learn about & brainstorm some BIG guests that you’d be over the moon to interview.
#3) Share your podcast on social media consistently.
Brittany uses the Headliner app to re-purpose and share her podcast on social media. You can share quotes, video clips in your Instagram stories, an IGTV video with a clip from the episode, graphics, and more. Be sure to send your guests graphics they can use to promote the show to their audience too.
#4) Outsource.
If you HATE editing your podcast & it takes you forever, find someone to help! There are one-stop-shop podcast editing companies or you could hire a free lancer on Fiverr, Upwork, etc.
