Hello, Health Coach Nation hope you are having a great day. Today we’re going to talk about what is scarier? And I’m going to ask you a question. And it comes from a conversation I had today with a client who as kind of towards the end of her program.
She’s come so far she started out, finishing up her master’s in nutrition. She had also a certification, but she had no idea how to start her online Wellness Business. And she came to me and was not so sure she could afford it. But she knew she wanted to get some business support. She took the leap of faith, she did the program, my private coaching program. And through our work together, she got over 45 people signed up for one of her little mini programs. She got multiple private three month clients. So at minimum four, I think she got more than that. I would have to go back and look at my documents. But I know it’s at least for three month clients that are high ticket price. She also got shorter clients.
Meet Your Challenge
She’s she did a talk at Google cooking classes, all the things all during a global pandemic. Started her business, she went out on her own. It’s it’s today we had this moment. And she said, You know, I was, this is the best decision I’ve made for my business. And myself, I’m not the same business owner, and same person as I was before I started this program. That, to me is like what I live for that statement of I’m not the same person I was when I started. She’s better off she’s more competent. She she’s knowing what tool she needs and what to be doing in her coaching business.
That to me is like, Yes, Yes, I did. Our work here is complete. I mean, really, it’s not because it’s just the beginning. And you’re always going to be growing and adapting and your business. But that is like music to my ears.
And the thing that she had to do, though, at the beginning was face the fear. And she had to ask herself, what’s scarier staying where I’m at, meaning I just got this master’s degree, I just got these certifications. I could just try to figure it out by myself. And maybe I wouldn’t have to invest as much in next steps in my business. But do I want to do that is that scary, or what’s more scary investing and getting support. And getting the proven tools and track record that other health coaches have used as other other life coaches have used to grow their business in record time, which option do I want to go with both are scary.
Effort Over Fear
Why? Because both require something meaning going out on your own figuring things out. It requires a ton of effort, it requires a lot of discipline. It requires you having to structure yourself, it requires a lot. The other option, investing in your business working with a coach, getting support getting a track record, and I’ll call myself a strategist more than a coach, a little combo of both, but I do really like giving the marketing and sales process and tips around that. Not just like coaching and asking questions, I actually give you feedback. But anyways, she she, what’s scarier going with that. But then I have to invest, then I have to put something up front, then there’s a little bit of risk involved.
And she had to pick which scary she wanted to go with. And so my question to you anytime in your business, when you want to go to the next level. You number one have to acknowledge that you’re going to have to become a different person, to reach the new level you want to get to. You’re going to have to have different habits. You’re going to have to have different actions, you’re going to have to have different thoughts. It’s not to say it has to be a complete overnight revamp, but you are going to have to change. And that’s really hard.
Confidence in Change
Because a lot of times our human brains try to protect us from change. And they try to convince us why we shouldn’t change and why we’re comfortable where we are. And so the next time you’re in that position, I want you to ask yourself, what’s scarier? Staying the same and meeting later, who I could have become wondering who I could have become, or going taking a leap of faith. Trusting myself taking a little bit of risk changing the way I think and do things and becoming a different person as a result, closer to my full potential.
And you’ll always be growing and growing and growing and evolving. But do you want to take the steps that are going to allow you to become who you could become. Or stay where you are and maybe meet wonder who you could have become in the future if you would have taken different steps. So that’s the message of the day today.
