Episode Highlights:
- Your body language is what people read the most. Second place is your vocal tone. Third place is what you’re actually saying… So, focus on showing up in a way that is inviting (smile), exciting (don’t talk like a robot), and inspiring (generating positive feelings for your ideal clients).
- When you look into the camera lens, imagine your ideal client. Think of your Live Videos like you’re talking to that one person in a 1:1 conversation.
- Don’t wait to kick off you’re Facebook Live Video until viewers arrive. Click “Go Live” and get started right away. People have a short attention span.
- Come prepared… Don’t spend the first half of your video asking if the sound is working, if your audience can see you, etc. Check all of this in advance.
- What are the 3 feelings you want your clients to have after watching your video? Plan your content around what will generate those feelings.
- How can you incorporate relatable story telling in your Facebook Lives?
- If you don’t feel comfortable going on Live Video in a seated conversational format yet, try starting with a “Behind the Scenes” casual video. For example, if you’re a health coach, you might show your audience what is in your fridge & why, how you organize it, etc.
- What is the one sentence you want your ideal clients to takeaway at the end of the video? Be sure to express and elaborate on the ONE key message.
- Does your video outline address “So what? Who cares?”
- Make the title for your videos specific and catchy. For example, “How I lost 3 pounds on vacation & kept it off!” instead of “Healthy Travel Tips”
- Keep the video ideal client focused, not about you. However, you can share personal stories as a way for your ideal clients to see themselves in your story & create interest.
- Ask your audience what their top takeaway was from your video. This indicates the most valuable parts of your outline and allows you to fine-tune your message for future presentations— cutting out what wasn’t important and honing in on the favorite takeaways from your audience.
